Education changes everything. At Hem of Hope Foundation, we believe cost should never crush potential. That’s why we provide scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, opening doors for them to pursue their dreams, complete their degrees, and build brighter futures.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Achievement

Minimum GPA: 3.25
(or equivalent effort for documented learning disabilities)

School Affiliation

Must be a high school senior at a DPS (Denver Public Schools) high school.

Extracurricular Involvement

Preference given to students engaged in activities like sports, clubs, or community service.

Financial Need

Preference given to students who demonstrate financial barriers.

Essay Submission

Students must submit an essay choosing one of the following prompts:

Prompt 1 (Reflection & Growth) – 250 words

Reflect on your life experiences over the past several years.

Describe a situation involving someone you have struggled to forgive. Without going into unnecessary detail, explain why forgiveness has been difficult and what may be holding you back.

Do you believe this person can be forgiven? Why or why not?

This prompt is intended to understand your ability to reflect, grow, and navigate complex personal experiences.

Prompt 2 (Goals & Impact) – 100 words

What are your future career goals, and what motivates you to pursue them?

If you were to become financially stable in the future, how would you use your resources to support or uplift others?

Please be specific and thoughtful in your response.
